Arizona-made Green Planet Paints adds soy-resin to their clay paints, making surfaces washable (unlike most paints that use natural pigments) and you can't forget the popular American Clay--a naturally pigmented, easily applied clay plaster.

Another option for natural paints is Green Planet Paints, who make paint using ancient Mayan techniques and ingredients. They are made with water, marble, porcelain clay, clay and mineral pigments, and a soy-based resin. Terra Firma also uses this paint, and according to Andra, it is very durable, but only comes in earth-tone colors. It’s about $40 per gallon.
